                                      Dec 09:Race for Justice

REALLITY Chair Leroy Logan MBE was invited to speak at the December '09 Race for Justice conference in central London, where he had the privilege of working with the two most influential black women in the country who were co-speakers; namely the Attorney General Baroness Patricia Scotland and Doreen Lawrence OBE.  He also took the opportunity to present Baroness Scotland with a REALLITY award in acknowledgement of her support for their work.  She was pleasantly surprised by the framed collage of significant Walthamstow sites presented to her, which was a positive reminder of her informative years, capturing the area that inspired her towards being a history maker as the first female and first black person to be the Attorney Gene.

01-Dec-2008 (Community Communication Photo Gallery)

On 21st October & 18th November 2008 the Community Community Model (CCM) workshops took place.  Members of the community from Waltham Forest joined together to voice their opinions on the issues that matter to them in relation to 'How safe they felt in their communities'.

The workshops held were a huge success as participants were able to have their voices heard by central and local governmental representatives, as this vital part of the workshops was used as a means to solving problems in the community. The photo gallery.
